How long will my appointment take?
Your first acupuncture appointment will be anywhere from 35 minutes to 65 minutes depending on intake needed and the treatment scheduled . Before you come for your appointment, please fill out all paperwork on our online Optimantra system. If you did not receive links to the paperwork, let our receptionist know and they can send them to your email. Every appointment after the first one will be 20 minutes to 50 minutes depending on the treatment scheduled. Labor preparation treatments are 1 hour and 20 minutes. Cupping only treatments are 25 minutes. Reiki only treatments are either 25 minutes, or 50 minutes.
How should I dress and prepare for my appointment?
Wear comfortable and loose clothing, with easy access to arms below the elbows, and legs below the knees. Please also eat and stay hydrated before and after your appointment. Do not come to your appointment while fasting, intoxicated, after a strenuous workout, or after using the hot tub or sauna. Do not schedule too many other kinds of treatment the same day as your acupuncture appointment i.e., massage, chiropractic, etc.
Do you take insurance?
We do accept veterans through the Veteran’s Choice program. In order to enter the program you must be a veteran and get a referral for acupuncture from your primary care physician first. They will then send us the referral and you will be contacted to make an appointment. We cannot request treatments for you without a referral from your primary care physician.
ATTENTION: Stephanie Salinas in network with, and is accepting Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna and Select Health insurance, for acupuncture treatment. DO NOT SCHEDULE ONLINE. All insurance will need to be verified before scheduling an appointment. Call the office at 719-434-8093. We will be happy to help. We are unable to take insurance for anything other than the treatment of pain.
Acupuncture is tax deductible. Keep your receipts.
Do you take Medicare or Medicaid?
We currently do not accept Medicare or Medicaid.
Can I pay with my medical savings account?
Yes you can, in most cases.
