Q & A

How long will my appointment take?

Your first acupuncture appointment will be 1 hour and 15 minutes. Before you come for your appointment, please fill out all paperwork on our online Optimantra system. If you did not receive links to the paperwork, let our receptionist know and they can send them to your email. Every appointment after the first one will be 1 hour.  Labor stimulation treatments are 1 and 1/2 hours to 2 hours. Family treatments for 2-3 members are 1 hour and 15 minutes (Family treatments are available for returning clients only). Cupping only treatments are 30 minutes. Reiki treatments are either 30 minutes, or 1 hour. Massage or assisted stretching appointments are 30 minutes to 1 and 1/2 hours depending on the appointment.

How should I dress for my appointment?

Wear comfortable and loose clothing, with easy access to arms below the elbows, and legs below the knees.

Do you take insurance?

We do accept veterans through the Veteran’s Choice program. In order to enter the program you must be a veteran and get a referral for acupuncture from your primary care physician first. They will then send us the referral and you will be contacted to make an appointment. We cannot request treatments for you without a referral from your primary care physician.

We also accept Cigna Insurance. Before your appointment, please call us. I need to verify your benefits before your appointments are covered.

We do not accept any other insurance at this time. Some insurance groups will reimburse you for acupuncture. Upon request, we can provide you with the information you need to file a claim. You will need to fill out a form for each visit. You can find forms for this on your insurance website.

We do not accept Blue Cross/Anthem insurance.

Acupuncture is tax deductible. Keep your receipts.

Do you take Medicare or Medicaid?

Medicare or Medicaid are currently doing a pilot program in some areas of Denver for acupuncture to treat spinal injuries. Currently, they do not cover acupuncture anywhere else in Colorado, or for any other problem. We currently do not accept Medicare or Medicaid.

Can I pay with my medical savings account?

Yes you can, in most cases.

What are your prices?
